Early Signing Periods

    In my opinion, recruits should be able to sign the day after the previous years NSD (for example today). In fact there should be no NSD. They could refer to NSD as last chance to sign anywhere at all day. NSD forces schools to spend way too much money recruiting, just to kiss 18 year olds in the back of their laps (not to mention the rear ends of their parents).

    So why would the university presidents of NCAA BCS schools even want to continue with the present situation at all?

    Simple, the TV networks who pay billions for TV rights to broadcast games to the NCAA which in turn disburses millions to each school, won't let them change anything that would reduce yesterday's drama. The people who are the source of these billions of dollars make the rules. There is no high and no mighty involved. The networks are really just "pimpin out" the universities like "road ho's".

    But the sad part is that the athletes themselves who are the mega star actors on the football stage won't see a penny!! (above board anyway).
    Isn't slavery illegal in America?

    Don't bet on it at all!
