ESPN - Texas boasts best early recruiting haul for 2009 - Insider Looks good, but it's early. How do our recruiting guru's think it's going?
That looks good. We still have Davenport and Randle to add, so we should hold a high position at the finish, at least top 5. Of course other schools have more signing to do.
Our recruiting is going great and we will finish great - near or at the top of the SEC and country. However, ESPN having USC at #5 is kind of funny. And by funny I mean sort of sad.
I would say the top 10 teams are on the list but I think the order is off but I will base my arguments on the top 5. 1st off I think the rankings do not mean anything to begin with since they are based on stars and do not really factor in filling need positions, etc... But I will give it a go anyway. I think LSU is in the 2-4 range. Texas should be on top with the number of early commits they have and the quality of talent in Texas. Also think Ohio St. and USC should be higher than UGA. Did anyone catch what they said about the Buckeye recruits: :hihi: That shows you how uniformative these rankings are but still pretty funny.
Looks like he is doing his Tyron Bigggums character without the white powder all over his face. View attachment 11063
Doesn't that say less about the recruit and more about the coaching? Are they suggesting that kids will go to Ohio St and forget how to win?
Has to be the coaching if he is serious but Lunginbill is a nutjob. He could not say that about one teams recruits and argue that it is not the same for the other teams. None of the 2009 recruits have proven themselves. Just a simple SEC/Big10 jab that has some of the buckeye fans in a frenzy.
Has no idea what he is doing. Basically just wait for Scout/Rivals to produce lists and he will copy them and move some around. Guy is a tool.
