Not real sure what to make of this season. I agree with much of what has been said. I believe that, between all of the exceptional coaches, exceptional talent, and exceptional new blood, the SEC has seen its last MNC G for a while. I think the best teams in the SEC are going to have at least 2 losses. Top of the pack: LSU, UF, UGA, BAMA, OM; not far behind, USC, UT, ARK. I see a couple of 80's type seasons where the SEC is back to beating itself out of contention.

That said, LSU will distinguish itself as the best there is again in the SEC. Last yr was an anomaly. We have the deepest talent, and best coaching staff. CLM has made some excellent moves this off season. Between assembling a dynomite coaching staff and hauling another unbelievable recruiting class, he has us poised to make a long run at being a top 5-10 team.

    East
    1. Florida
    2. Georgia
    3. South Carolina
    4. Tennessee
    5. Kentucky
    6. Vandy

No way Tennessee is above UGA. UGA will still have a good QB & RB, and if they actually stay healthy they should be better than last year. I never know what to make of South Carolina, but whoever is third in the league will be far below UF & UGA.

    West
    1. LSU
    2. Ole Miss
    3. Arkansas
    4. Alabama
    5. Auburn
    6. Miss St

LSU wins the West next year if our QB play & defense continue the strides they made in the bowl game. Ole Miss will be good again, but probably not as good as last year. Arkansas will be a dangerous team next year. I see them being similar to Ole Miss last year - win some big ones, lose some they shouldn't. Bama is going to struggle some, but should still be pretty good.

Bama benefited from a down year in the SEC & a great momentum boost last year. Tennessee doesn't have the talent right now, and I'm not sold on their coaches' ability.

I will hold off with most of my picks until after spring practice. I want to see how we (AU) fare against ourselves and coaches trying to make a statement to their players.

The two favorites for the West I would think should be LSU then ole miss. I may be wrong but I don't think bama will have the O this year. Their D should begin to really mature, but you need a few points.
