I like your predictions Red - wouldn't change anything. Because I'm a big-ole homer. That said - my heart says you've got the SEC CG right, but my intuition tells me this is going to be a 3 loss LSU year. Not exactly sure which 3, but that's my gut-feel. I do think Bama will struggle, though not as much as LSU did last year. They'll still challenge for the West. Also agree with the poster who said there's a big drop after Florida in the East. I've been thinking for a while that the odd-year conventional wisdom no longer applies. 2010 will be an amazing year for LSU. And 2011 won't be too shabby, either. And a 3-loss 2009 will be fantastic (if just a tad frustrating).
A 3 loss year, to who? I'm curious about who you think we will lose 3 games to. I get the Florida logic, I understand that, but who else. By the time we get deep into SEC play our defense should be very strong and familiar with the new coaching staff. I think we lose 2 and that includes if we see Florida in SECCG, but I definitely believe we win the west.
Don't know about those three losses. I'll just be happy as a hatpin in a room full of balloons if we still have a shot at clinching the western division title when we play at lefire: ! :geaux:
I agree with Red for the most part but I would put UGA ahead of Tenn. Bama may struggle this year but it is going to be hard for them to lose many games next year with that schedule.
The Ole Miss game will decide the West. It will be up to LSU to ensure the Rebels remain the only West member who never sniffed Atlanta.
As I said in my post. Not sure which of UF, Ole Miss, Bama, Arky, or UGA. Plus a decent bowl test. Being a gut feel, there is no logic. Call it a hunch.
