some big10 folk are still in denial hanging their hat on many meaningless bowls, instead of the ones that matter. I know they think we are cherry-picking but the stigma around the country is because of the big bowl games. not because northwestern beat central florida in the poulan-weedeater bowl. its their onus to change that perception. til then they can keep pretending its all equal. its fine by me. perception is reality.
If we're gonna discard certain games to perfect our argument, then I'm not sure what to say.... Teams play each other, they win, they lose .... records and trends are created... not real sure how else to do it. I remember a poster going on and on after Wisconsin beat Auburn a few years ago saying Auburn lost because their qb and teammates had gotten drunk the night before. Well, shame on them. Who gives a ratsazz about all the "reasons why"?
Your Honor, your decision to not let me present Tirk's criminal past to the jury is affecting my case. All I know is Iowa has played the SEC in four bowls games this past decade and we didn't consider any of them "unmeaningful". I'm now depressed to hear they didn't count.

Good game for sure, but I don't know about close it will be. I suspect one team or the other will pull away in the second half.
im not trying to perfect an argument, i truly believe performance in bowl games is a crappy way to determine how good a team is. clearly the strongest evidence for sec better than b10 is the lack of success of the b10 champ, but clearly that doesnt tell the whole story. for the record i think psu is probably better than lsu. but teams are so jekyl and hyde its tough say. this game, as most, will be decided by qb play. b10 vs sec on neutral sites this decade 13-11. a push.
Well, it really goes without saying, I think we all know who I am pulling for. I am for the team that "pulls away in the second half." Actually, I am trying to get to Pasadena, can someone spare a dime?
