this lsu team is not the 07 team and this penn st team is not nd of 06, miami of 05 or gt of 08.

lsu lost to the three oppts with good Ds. psu has a good D.

maybe if the line moves another point (but i doubt it will. "sec speed" and all).

A month for Miles to prepare and us as the underdog, I like it. Haven't we been the underdog in our last 3 bowls? Take the tigers in this one if you are a betting person.:geaux: :tigereye: :milesmic: :LSU231:

I'm puzzled by the line myself and certainly wouldn't touch it. I expected LSU to be the favorite by 4 or 5 and in case that I still wouldn't touch it. There's simply too many variables in this game. Should be interesting to see LM's aggressive philosophy vs. JoePa's conservative one. We have been generally successful against above-average SEC teams (i.e. Cap 1 and Outback opponents) and I think the speed difference won't be as big as many think with the exception of PSU's safeties. I think it will come down to QB play, just like it did in our game against O$U this year. Unfortunately for us, TP outplayed Clark. Will Jefferson be able to do this as well?

Take LSU and the points. You don't have to tell anybody. That way wwhen LSU wins, you'll be HAPPY and SAD.

Don't be so sure on that. Penn State has played very well against the so called "SEC Speed" and they were never able to unleash it. All you have to do is go back and check PSUs bowl game record against the SEC since 1980 (6-2) and have only givin up an average of 15.5 points per game while scoring 25 themselves. The most points scored against the was a mere 23, so even though you can't always take history into the outcome of this game you can definately see a pattern of solid defense. I obviously don't know who will win but I am pretty sure it will be a close game

    1982 Sugar BEAT Georgie 27-23
    1991 Fiesta BEAT Tennessee 42-17
    1993 Citrus BEAT Tennessee 31-13
    1995 Outback BEAT Auburn 43-14
1997 Citrus LOST to Florida 6-21
    1998 Outback BEAT Kentucky 26-14
2002 Capital One LOST to Auburn 9-13
    2006 Outback BEAT Tennessee 20-10
