I have a hard time believing that an undefeated Boise State could see the NC, even with a 1 loss Big 12, SEC or ACC Champion... considering their schedule. The NC this year will roll through more than likely a UT (if they beat OU) and a Gator/ Bama NC.
There are 6-7 weeks left in the season, it is absolutely rediculous to think there will not be SOME change in a projection for BCS games from today. Looking at the projection, and actually agreeing that USC will not be in the rose bowl, means they are projecting them to not win the Pac-10, which they have done for 7-8 straight years. They very well might not, but odds are they will. No one knows who will be in what BCS game at this point of the season. Safest bets are that Texas will be in a BCS game, and the most likely to be in the NC game of anyone right now based on schedule, but that to could change. Also, when is the last time there have been 2 Pac-10 teams and 2 - Big Ten teams in BCS games the same year...........NEVER. The BCS will probably NOT end up like they have it.
if the coaches and harris voters saw boise, tcu or cincy as a threat to get to the NC because of computers they would adjust their voting accordingly. no way a 1-loss bama (unless they get killed by lsu) is left out in that scenario. it would be bama or iowa. vatech has 2 losses.
Boise State will NOT be in the BCS NC game. It's really not even worth discussing, but I'll give it a shot..... Even if they run the table and finish 12-0, they will only have 1 win over a Top-25 team, and potentially 1 more win vs a Top-50 team. The only chance Boise has, and this is really, really slim, there has to be a 1-loss BCS school and a bunch of schools with 2 losses, exactly like 2007. Boise's computer ranking won't go up much, if at all, the rest of the way. Look who's on their schedule. :crystal::geaux::crystal::geaux::crystal:
