Bama has been extremely luck when it comes to QB play for a while now......but all good things must come to an end......ask USC!

Luck can have a lot to do with the recruits you bring in. But as far as injuries at the position, Bama has been fortunate to have these guys ready on game day. When you think about injuries at the position, so has LSU.

Just the draft Stacy. I don't make comparisons, not to Luck and not to the Mett, either. AJ will be better next year and that's because he puts so much into playing his position.

I'm going to let you decide what scares you. But I keep a healthy respect for the talent coming at you each week in the SEC. Tebow decided to come back for his senior year and I thought, given his determination to play QB in the NFL and wanting to win another NC, no big surprise. And we know how that turned out. AJ has the possibility of being at 4 NC Games at his time at Alabama. That's amazing to think about.

Best to leave LSU feelings about past QB's with LSU fans. LSU went spread after all of this. They went Crowton spread and they went spread defense as well. I thought Les was conflicted the whole time, which confused the team, fans, even more. When Les got Chief and then took full control of the offense with his pro sets, the team's identity was immediate and mostly painful for the rest of the SEC. Les made a QB coaching error in the NC game. But frankly, it just would not have mattered against, arguably, the best defensive front seven in Alabama lore.

Yeah it has been a while since LSU has had a quarterback out due to injury a cheapshot. Thanks for reminding us, now go patronize someone else.

Les's biggest mistake in his tenure was giving his two buddies a shot(paveto, mallory)at d-cord., I think when he realized exactly how much spread option that crowton brought to the table he was not willing to go that far and get away from being a physical team up front. But Frankly as far as it not mattering in the Championship game.....your wrong, while that might have been bama's best front seven ever on defense, something went on with miles and his offense....we may never find out what it was, but there was something leading up to that game. You can not say it would not have mattered, because LSU had beaten that exact same front seven earlier in the year at Bama's home! However the game played out LSU got the "W" and bama got the "L". That is one FACT that can never be denied.

What went on with Les during the NC? Maybe many are over thinking it. Les wanted to play the game "close to the vest." It's in his DNA. He had great success against Bama's ultraconservative offense, not just at Tuscaloosa, but he was riding the wave of a TWO game win streak against coach Saban himself. How big a hurry would you want to be in to get away from that winning formula? We'll keep it close, play field position and win the turn over battle with a team that was leading the galaxy in that category, and just as the last 4 or 5 games proved to be, win it in the 4th. Coach Saban decided on something different for the big dance. He opened it up and gave the moderate, vertical passing game a try with much success. Les wouldn't budge from his tried and proven formula. Maybe the lead never got to the point he felt it's time to panic.

From an inside person......there's more to the story than may ever come out! You'll just have to trust me on that one. Not taking anything away from Bama....they were better prepared and on that day the much better team. No doubt will ever live in my mind that the two best teams in football met that day.
