May be some in '13 with Warmack, Jones, and Fluker gone. Hope Jones taught the next guy how to get away with holds on every play and that head bob.
You may have read that, but whoever wrote it isn't telling the truth. Players get a few days off for Christmas break. There is no way in hell a player gained even half of that amount (15 of 30lbs) over a three or four day period.
I know this is going to be tough to grasp, but AJ's future prospects in the NFL is not what excites the Crimson nation. One more year at the Capstone keeps expectations high at another run at the prize. Bama has a couple of nice QB prospects, but youth is a part of the equation. Cooper Bateman out of Utah is a high flying recruit that will need some seasoning. AJ makes the one position that can be difficult locking and loading, manageable. Yes, good news indeed.
So far only 8 players had declared. This is a weak draft for QB's, AJ would have done well if he came out.
From everything I've read, McCarron wants to get better and he loves the program. Coach Saban probably encouraged him to invest another year in getting bigger and letting his game mature. Like Andrew Luck, these kind of decisions really depend more on the individuals and not the NFL print out machine.
Just to clarify, you are not comparing McCarron to Luck, are you? Just that Luck came back for his senior year? Oh, and it doesn't scare me one bit if McCarron comes back. I couldn't say that for Tebow and probably not for Manziel in the future.
