McCaleb is a JR this season, but will likely get a medical RS due to being injured only 4 games into the season. So he'd have 2 years left.

For what it's worth, here's some more pub on Jerome. Now, apparently, he's grown an inch. 6-9" and 215 big man, who seems to have the overall package. Hard to say no to a good big man... And, let's not forget that T-Time came out of McKinley as a 6-7, 190-ish, skinny center...

    As for other kids,

Josh White lights it up with 26 in his last game. Bo Spencer scores 10. Elgin Bailey, 4? http://www.2theadvocate.com/sports/preps/2237987.html

More Jerome pub... averaging 20 pts, 12.5 rebs, and 10 blocks in district play... So, how come this kid didn't sign with anyone in the early period?

In other, less favorable, news a 6-2 junior guard from GA, Senario Hillman, that we were apparently recruiting committed early (very early) to Alabama :dis: .

Probably b/c with the recent transfers, LSU seems to be pretty stocked at SG. We need a PG and a big man.

Brady and Butch? So, what do you think of this kid, Jerome Meyinesse? A big 6-9 center, here locally, who averages a triple double AND shoots his free throws? Might be worth a closer look...

Just so we're not forgetting that LSU needs a decent PG, here's more on some of the kids worth watching locally who happened to play in the PMAC over the weekend.

Josh White scores 25 to lead Christian Life to a win...

William "Bo" Spencer of Glen Oaks leads his team with 18 in a loss.

These are both Jr. guards that LSU is following.

FWIW, Kentucky's signee Perry Stevenson scores 10 points in a Northside win.:geauxtige :bball:

Great local game to follow as no. 1 Class 1A bball team Christian Life, led by Josh White, takes on challenger Southern Lab... Southern Lab has Bo Spencer (and Donald Williams... anyone recruiting this kid?), and someone else not yet mentioned, but should be, 6-9 junior Claude Britten. Should be a good match up with Div 1 prospects playing in the game.

By the way, I'm worried about the Arkansas game at home. Will be a tough challenge for the young tigers after a tough loss. A win gets the SEC West lead comfortably in hand, a loss sends a potential NCAA bubble team Arkansas into hot pursuit mode. Talent wise, the teams match up... Fans NEED to come out! And, let's keep the pressure off this team... they need to stay focused but loose...:) :geauxtige

Another key local basketball game coming up soon pits Woodlawn versus Central.

Some good big men playing, although I'm not sure LSU is recruiting any of them. I've heard the name Trent Hutchin, a guard out at Woodlawn, in recruiting circles. Perhaps a PG candidate for '07.

Anyway, this is a good overall report on many interesting prospects, including Josh White, and Jerome Meyinesse:

Paris sounds like our kind of guy. Not gaudy stats, but man, he's getting a lot of interest from some good schools.

He could be a great get for the Tigers, and fill a tremendous need. A PG with both the scoring and leadership, court management.

    Thanks for posting the article.

Spencer plays for Glen Oaks. Another Christmas gift Adger gets every year.
