Can't you do that already by setting the sounds to "All" instead of "LSU"? I don't know, I haven't played around with it all that much.

I don't think that's being picky at all. Each year EA trots out some new gimmicky gameplay option and acts like it's some major leap forward in the series. I don't think they fully appreciate that there are a lot of college football fans out there who don't really follow the NFL. Handling the little things can attract a much larger customer base than just the Madden people who also happen to like the college game. Granted, it's easy to do all the team-specific things for 32 NFL teams than 119 college teams.

If they can allow people to supply custom rosters and mp3's, then I think EA could supply a game editor to make the whole game customizable, and the fan community could code up things like pregame, bands, all the sounds, etc. that could be distributed through EA servers. From what I've heard they already toyed around with the idea of a stadium sound database but backed off on it, probably for fear of potential legal action over copyrighted songs.

I'm not sure about the "All" option. I think what I remember reading is that it would play the sounds when you were the home team at the home stadium. For example, I was playing the SEC Championship game as LSU as the home team and I still didn't get my sounds because I was at the Georgia Dome.

So if you set it to "All", to me that says that every team would play the same sounds when they are the home team and at their stadium. Again, I haven't actually set anything to All, but that's my take on it.

I guess the way it's set up now is to give a home field advantage feeling or something, but in my experience most teams bring at least a pep band to the away games. You're going to hear Rocky Top 100 times when Tennessee comes to Tiger Stadium.

The teambuilder is great, I've made a team for church and a team for work, I really like that we can import logos now.

Season Showdown should provide a way for me to stay interested long after I get halfway through my third dynasty year.

Yes, there are a few minor gripes- namely, passing is easy, o-line is terrible, and shifting to a secondary player usually leads to a massive gain for the opponent (as is always the case. I really wish they would look at this), the LSU band not being there 100%, etc.

But I found gameplay very smooth and enjoyable. I really liked the game, don't really regret the purchase.

The O-line is so bad it makes it all but impossible to run play-action because the D-line is in the backfield so fast. On a routine handoff to Scott up the middle I got sacked before the handoff. Let me repeat that: sacked before the handoff. And don't get me started on secondary play. I played Bama and after putting together a long scoring drive, Bama's rookie QB sits back and throws a bomb to a receiver with pinpoint accuracy, where the safety tried to pick off the ball about 10 yards upfield of where the ball actually was. Touchdown. :po:

I take these things way too personally.

I usually buy 1 ncaa game per console generation, and it looks like the time is right. Guess i will spend all weekend building a team and such.

And i havent forgot about putting up those music files, just didn't get around to it yet.

im not thrilled about it either ... i did notice the more i switch it up between play action/run the d-line gets easier ... but man i was playing against some no name teams and they just kill the o-line in the first qtr ... then our d-line just blows ... alem is avg speed ... RS is SLOW !!!! JJ is pretty accurate on the run which i like

I keep getting eaten up in the secondary. I've tried everything, but when the DL gets no pressure and the blitzes from the LBs are a joke, they have all day to pass. The best blitzes are from the corners ad nickle/dimebacks. Its like they pretend they don't know they're coming.

The LSU D-line seems to have a lot of trouble getting pressure. The opposing QB can sit there all day until someone gets open.

I haven't noticed as many problems with the O-line. I can usually run pretty easily.

I haven't played much with teams other than LSU yet though.

I know this sounds cheesy, but I'm thinking of dropping the slider down a little for opposing teams with the blocking of the o-line.
