GAMES ARE DECIDED ON THE FIELD. PLAYERS AND COACHES. SO WE CAN ASSUME HOW GREAT EVERYONE IS TILL THE WHISTLE IS BLOWN THEN ALL THAT GOES IN THE TOILET. LSU WILL HAVE A MAJOR FAN BASE ADVANTAGE AND HAS ALREADY PLAYED ON THIS FIELD. OREGON HAS A GREAT RB, QB AND ALSO A VERY GOOD TE. BUT, THEY LOST QUALITY PLAYERS ON DEFENSE AND THE OFFENSIVE LINE WITH VERY LITTLE DEPTH. BAD NEWS. LSU HAS DEPTH ON BOTH SIDES OF THE BALL AND EXPERIENCE. SIZE I'M NOT GOING THERE. OREGON'S LJ WILL GET HIS 150 YARDS AND 2 TOUCHDOWNS. YOU CANNOT SLOW A GREAT PLAYER LIKE HIM DOWN. HE IS A WINNER. BUT, THATS IT. LSU WILL RUN,RUN,RUN AGAINST A IN-EXPERIENCED LINE TO MILK THE CLOCK AND THROW AT WILL AGAINST A WEAK SECONDARY. OREGON WILL GET THERE 200 YARDS RUSHING. BUT, THERE PASS WILL BE SHUT DOWN BY OUR SPEEDY,ATHLETIC SECONDARY. WHICH MEANS BY THE END OF THIRD INTO THE 4TH QUARTER LSU WINS GOING AWAY. I DO NOT SEE OREGON HOLDING ON WITH IN-EXPERIENCE IN THE TRENCHES. OREGON WILL TRY TO RUN AWAY FROM OUR STRENGTHS. BUT, FRANKLY LSU IS STRONG AT EVERY POSITION EXCEPT MAYBE THE LB'S. BUT, WE HAVE A 3 YEAR STARTER AND THE OTHERS ARE TWO YEAR STARTERS. SPECIAL TEAMS WILL BE A FACTOR HERE. BOTH TEAMS HAVE TO KEEP THERE OPONENT BACKED UP AND NO SHORT FIELD. THATS A GAME CHANGER. THERE WILL BE TURNOVERS. FIRST GAME OF THE YEAR. TURNOVERS. OREGON HAS A GOOD TEAM BUT NOT A GREAT TEAM. I SEE LSU STRONGER AND MORE DEPTH IN ALL POSITIONS EVEN QB. IF OREGON'S QB GETS HURT, WHAT NOW! I SEE LSU AND OREGON CLOSE FOR 3 BUT LSU WALKS AWAY WITH A WIN IN THIS ONE 34-24.:helmet::thumb:

The paragraph is your friend, amigo. ALL caps and no breaks is a bit hard to read.

I am also confident in the Tigers, but Oregon is a major contender and should not be dismissed too quickly.

    Welcome to the board.

Very convincing except the part about JJ throwing passes at our weak secondary. I think JJ's passing is weaker than our secondary. Wasn't he one of the worst passing QB's last year? Biggest key to the game is JJ. Our DC loves to stop the run 1st and play pass second. JJ would be a backup QB on every team in the Pac-12. Of the 4 teams that Chip has lost to all had one thing in common. A mobile QB that was a good passer. You don't have one of those. So bring your running game cause thats all you have.

Glad to be here with the Tiger Nation. Oregon has a quality team. But, as a former player. They have no depth. Star player not playing on defense and there timing will be off with new players breaking in. They will try and live up to the hype but will fold in the end. Just not enough players to contend 60 minutes in this one. I really like the Tiger's chances here. Oregon may be a to 10-15 team but not 3rd with that many player losses. Rating is based on NC game last year. Thats it. Tiger's finished strong with everyone back and maybe a step better.

That also describes LSU, you know.

I worry about LSU being in bowl-game form in game one on the road against a top-5 team. Of course, Oregon has the same issue.

Understand Duck fan. But, facts are facts. We won the NC 2 times with QB's who were just good not great. Winner's. JJ I agree is not a great QB but he wins. He has legs to that get him down field to. Oregon's QB and LSU's QB are very simular in fact. This game is will be won and all games are decided in the trenches and the fact is you have re-built most of your Defensive and Offensive fronts. This is where you get beat. Not by JJ's arm.

    Wow, you just said that!?

    Thomas-
    QB Rating: 151.0 (Ranked 17th)
    Passing Yards: 2881
    TD's: 30
    INT's: 9
    Rushing: 486 (5.2 Avg) 5 TD's.

    Total Offense: 3367 yards and 35 TD's.

    Jefferson-
    QB Rating: 114.7 (Ranked 100th)
    Passing Yards: 1411
    TD's: 7
    INT's: 10
    Rushing: 450 (3.7 Avg) 7 TD's.

    Total Offense: 1861 yards and 14 TD's.

Not close at all. Not that he needs to be, but that was a very misinformed statement.

I'd take an average SEC QB over a stellar Pac-12 QB anyday.

Say what you will about JJ, he has shown more heart and has taken more grief from this fanbase. For God's sake, we were calling for Jarret "Pick-Six" Lee last year.

Flynn was better at passing then jj. His being in the NFL and poised to get a starting role soon confirms this. Flynn was a little better than average. He wasn't Payton manning but was above average and better than jj. If Flynn played for lsu last year we would have played in a bcs bowl at the very least.
