His video showed a nose for the ball. He made some great int and plugged some running lanes. He seems to have instincts to where the play is headed. Need to put some meat on him though, listed 223 kind of light in the ass for those backs he will be hitting.
I don't follow recruiting very closely and I'm not into the stars thing. If Aranda thinks he's good enough to play at LSU, that's good enough for me.
Aranda is not alone in liking Rice. Even though Rivals ranks Rice as a 3*, here's what they say about him,"The talented Rice committed to LSU over Georgia, Auburn and others. He had dozens of high caliber offers." https://lsu.rivals.com/news/lsu-lands-linebacker-monty-rice
1st we aren't losing recruits left and right. Second I don't know with Herman or Fisher. Fisher doesn't impress me and Herman is not well known around here yet. So I think it is very possible we would lose recruits w/ them. Again uncertainty makes people nervous.
As I wrote earlier, I don't follow recruiting that closely. So I did a Google search on 2017 rankings. One poll has us #6, another has us #5, and another has us #6. Doesn't appear too shabby to me.
In comparison... How is Texas doing with Herman in recruiting... >>> Just reported four hours ago: "Texas received a small boost in the 247Sports Composite team recruiting rankings. The Longhorns moved up four spots from No. 63 to No. 59 with the addition of Mississippi Gulf Coast C.C. kicker Josh Rowland." http://texas.247sports.com/Bolt/Texas-moves-up-four-spots-in-team-recruiting-rankings-49750045 Of course, it's way too early to tell much of anything, but today is a day I'd rather not think about work. Geaux Tigers!
