I personally would prefer a drop back passer with pocket awareness and some wheels to evade a blitz. And when I say wheels I don't mean a track star.
I recall a QB from Louisiana that won a few rings playing for the Steelers that could toss it pretty well.
Weren't dual threat qb's. They could pick up first down with their legs if needed, but were (and are in Rodgers case) pocket passers.
Michael Vick was a pretty good passer in the pre dogfighting days with the Falcons. Whenever he wasn't injured.
Michael Vick, Tommy Frazier, Charlie Ward, Cam Newton, Tim Tebow, Tee Martin, Seneca Wallace, Randle El, Brad Smith, Terrell Pryor, Braxton Miller, Deanthony Thomas, Marcus Mariota, Dennis Dixon, Robert Griffin the Turd, take away their ability to run and what are they? Garbage men, wide receivers, analysts, inmates, construction workers, insurance salesmen.
