Re: Davenport Commits! There were reports that he was already helping with recruiting, for example,--McFarland, etc.. That is one of the reasons why most people said he was a lock. However, you are correct in that perhaps his recruiting activities will carry more weight now that he has given his own verbal.

I'm a little surprised we havent had a DeBose, Evans, RR, type WR commit yet especially with the potential to have Shep as their QB and with LSU looking close at so many top WRs that they wouldn't want to reserve their spot. Also the earlier they commit they can start helping their future team out by recruiting other top players.
Re: Davenport Commits! With the capability of signing 3 WR's it is a bit surprising we haven't had one commit. There have been reports that several big time WR's have interest. I think we are holding out and slow playing several that we may have taken in previous years. I have a hard time believing Patterson the #1 player in Mississippi wouldn't have signed with us instead of Miss St. if we went after him hard. Appleton is another that seems like a great prospect, but I am not sure just how hard we are pushing for a commit. It just looks like we think we can get some elite talent and are waiting on them.
