Yes, but guys like miles, an Saban already have been making millions for years. Plus they have more millions coming anyway, so honestly I don't know if it's that big of a deal to them. Now if it were me I would be in the fetal position on the sidelines crying after the game. But I can't imagine making that kind of $$$$$$$
Then he and Stud must be splitting the dough. I do believe there is something we don't know and JJ's comments after the game are mind boggling but to think he would throw this kind of game is hard to imagine. He would be the type of person that not many of us thought possible and I think that includes the JJ haters. It would also make CLM the biggest pawn or scapegoat ever depending on how you see it. I hope something like this is totally untrue but the performance on Monday was SO disturbing that it makes even the most preposterous accusations seem even remotely plausible. That's how bad it was and this is what we have to remember the JJ era with. What a bitter pill to swallow.
It reminded me a little of Alabama auburn game last year. We come out an completely kick auburns butt in first half. Then come out second half like another team , flat, no emotion, like we just quit an give up a three touchdown lead an lose. Saban never gave us a explanation.
Probably only internet fantasies. I'd seen some posts on another board, but don't take them seriously. Look at it this way. If it was JJ and he was the only one involved, how does that explain the very poor line play? How does it explain the continued bad playcalling? Things like that have to be highly coordinated, and that means too many people can spill the beans. That's why point-shaving scandals usually involve basketball teams. One point-guard can do a lot more than a QB to blow a game. It is interesting though that Paul Finebaum said something on Monday about him seeing something that immediately convinced him LSU would implode (not just that Bama would win, but LSU would collapse). I don't have the stomach yet to listen to him to hear an elaboration. GEAUX TIGERS
I don't know if I would call it poor line play totally. But as I read was I believe a statement from one of the linemen that they were blocking just Bama was sending more people than they could block and no attempts at adjustments were being made. This would make poor line play seem like the culprit. If you go back to Saban's game with LSU against Ok for the championship some years back he did basically the same thing. Created blitz packages to overwhelm OK and when they didn't make adjustments to stop it the game was basically over. Course that is just my opinion
I don't see this as complicated and perplexing. Bama brought their A++ game and we brought our F game. We had more to lose and Bama had nothing to worry about there except Little Nicky's ego getting hurt (and he made sure that didn't happen). Bama has a phenomenal D and we were exposed on the Offensive side. There were no wrinkles thrown into this matchup when LSU was running offensive plays. No element of surprise but instead a repeat of what was successful against Bama late in the second half. Hopefully, CLM controls the house and takes this loss as a hard lesson learnt.
That's bullsh*t. Then the entire team and coaching staff were in it as well. Phucking stupid ass rumors.
If I was still a serious gambler, I would totally believe this rumor....assuming I bet on LSU. Jefferson played that bad that the game did look fixed. Rumors are rumors......and point shaving isn't that common. Only a top college quarterback, playing in his last game, who had no chance in making it to the NFL could possilbly have affected the NCG's game enough to be influenced by gamblers. JJ is just a bad QB. RIght?
