In both the Oregon and Kentucky games, it was a split between poor passes by Lee and drops by the receivers. So not all of this can be put on the receivers. Lee has to use that plant foot to drive the ball so it stops sailing on him (simple physics).

Let's not make this out to be Drew Brees passes being dropped.

Not to mention he's gonna get his receivers killed over the middle of the field.

I have a hard time blaming Lee when passes are hitting the WR in the chest and hands. Not every pass can be perfect, but when it hits you in the numbers or goes through your hands it is 100% on the WR.

True, Drew puts a little heat on the ball.

Over the middle, thats why you play WR, the ones that go across the middle and get the ball, play Pro ball. Bowe, Doucet, Todd Kinchen wasn't big, but would go across the middle. Too many to name.

Well we don't have those type receivers. So when you throw a ball to Shepard, throw it in his midsection. He may still drop it, who knows, but he stands a much better chance than these acrobatic catches he's trying to make in traffic over the middle of the field.

They're just getting back at Jarrett Lee because they found out that Saban paid Lee's second cousin (Lowery) to start the fight that got JJ suspended.

Josh (cajinkid) and I were watching the receivers showing off pre game by catching passes with one hand. Now how in the Hell can you do that in practice, and not catch it with two hands during the game. Its called focus. Some of these guys rely too much on their talent and forget to concentrate until the catch is made, then worry about YAC.

Pre game Lee was throwing the ball on the money hitting his receivers in stride. It puzzles me why RR stopped on the route and tried to catch the ball jumping when the whole pre game warm-ups he was running to ball on that exact play.
I am hoping it was because they were playing not to get hurt.

A lot of the passes were high and I'm thinking that the sun played into some of the drops.

Several comments about passes being high. With 6'4 receivers, that's where they need to be. Either we catch them or they're incomplete.

I noticed this right away. If RR stays with the route that ball is on the money, maybe he misjudged it but it sure seemed that if he keeps running it is 6.
