for those of you who are slaves to ESPN and just repeat what they say and just say "blah, blah, blah, T.O. sucks because he drops passes," without actually studying the way things REALLY are, here is an interesting stat for you all. Granted, like I always say, it's unofficial, but here goes: http://sports.iwon.com/nfl/stats/passesdropped.html We see Owens in third with 5 drops. No surprise. He does drop his share, but on this list we also see Santana Moss, Reggie Bush, Steve Smith, Plexico Burress, TJ Who's Your Mama, Roy Williams, Anquin Boldin. The conclusion: ALL #1 RECEIVERS DROP THEIR SHARE. WHY? THEY GET IT THROWN TO THEM MOST OFTEN. Most surprising to me is Jason Witten with 5. the SAME amount as T.O., yet the talking head idiots on ESPN always say, "Oh, Witten is so sure-handed, unlike T.O." Discuss.
I see Reggie Bush... the most overrated player in the NFL on the list. He is good, though, I am sure...:dis:
Only b/c you are a writer, its "Plaxico" but he pronounces it "Plexico". TO is playing better this year but I'm IMHO Dallas isn't in NE or Indy's league this year.
Over hyped? Maybe Overrated? Kinda hard to be overrated when you're really not rated. I've never heard anyone mention him real high on the list of great backs in the league.
I just wish 2 was a white dude. Then, I could call him what he is without worrying about someone else's political correctness . What a joke.
yeah. i just was going real fast. i normally call him plexi-glass, but it's all good. to the other poster, Steve Smith isn't the best in the NFL. I still like Harrison. Old, but the dude is so damn steady. Just my opinion, but Smith tends to take plays off. I don't like that. that's why i don't say that owens is the best WR
just watch any Saints game. they circle him every play to show where he is, etc... He is just a glorified Aaron Stecker. I love the dude and hope he blows up, but for the time being he hasn't. Edit: I think the Saints need to use him the way the Eagles use Westbrook, b/c I think he has all of the tools Westbrook has and some, and that can be scary.
Would you rather they point out Mike Karney?:hihi: Seriously now. That's what I mean by over-hyped. They talk about him as "could be" and "potential". But when you hear any of the talking heads discussing runningbacks, they go through quite a few before getting down to Bush.
