ESPN points out that on that on the Saints' last drive (leading to the Shockey TD), Brees completed passes to 7 different receivers.....8 if you include Moore on the 2-point conversion.

That's Brees' season in a nutshell. That he was not MVP for the regular season is a travesty.

criminal man, completely criminal. If Brees could throw the ball to his offensive lineman, he would have completed the ball to about 12 different receivers. Brees is the best quarterback in the NFL today.

I have been making this argument to my buddies all year. Brees' performance in the SB definitely reinforces that he is the BEST QB in the NFL!

    Brees 32-39

    1. Slight overthrow to Meachem on first series (usually connects on that, would have been a 69 yard TD)
    2. Questionable pass to PThomas over the middle that was broken up by a LB/S
    3. Incomplete pass to Colston to left side (can't remember this one)
    4. Drop by Colston (easy first down, stalled the drive)
    5. Bad pass overthrown to Shockey that almost got intercepted (only real bad pass of the game)
    6. Clocked the ball
    7. Drop by Henderson/Meachem/Moore (not sure who it was on the pass at the line of scrimmage towards sideline)

In reality, 32-38 with 2 drops. 33-39 if you count the 2 point conversion, and should have been 35-39.

Didn't Reggie Bush drop a pass in the left flat?
