Committed to Ole Miss right now, but they're saying he's still looking around and recently received an offer from LSU. I hate to see talent like this leave the state. I'm thinking he committed to Ole Miss cause he hadn't received one from LSU yet, but now has. Thoughts on this kid coming here.

Just read a article on scout about him....they feel really good about getting him...it said him chad jones and will blackwell were talking about what things would be like if they all came here (lsu) and what they could get accomplished.

Sunny at Scout & Mike S at Rivals both think he will end up at LSU.

He's had a huge senior year, and I see Rivals has him as a 4 star which is probably appropriate but Scout still has him as a 3 star, but they haven't redone their rankings yet so maybe that will change.

His committment to Ole Miss is extremely soft.

It boggles me how well Ole Miss is doing with their recruiting this year. Hopefully we can keep this kid at home.

Orgeron was always known as one of the top recruiters in the nation, plus he can promise early playing time to all these recruits because they don't have a whole lot of talent right now, and even less depth. However, pulling top 10 classes with 3 win seasons does seem a bit out of wack and wouldn't be suprised to see some NCAA issues come out in a year or two.

    1. Coach O recruits these kids hard and early. He gives out offers before any of the big teams. Ole Miss is often the first D-I offer the kids get so they take it. Major programs will be flirting their commits until signing day.

    2. Ole Miss is going after a lot of players that are questionable as far as grades. The chances of getting some of them into school is very slim

Look for a good majority of Ole Miss's "big recruits" to never step foot on campus.

Look at Jerrel Powe from Wayne Co. He was not accepted at Ole Miss this year bc his academics were so bad. Coach O goes for a lot of Prop 48 kids to get a high ranking, but a lot of these kids never step foot on campus, they either end up a Junior College. Coach O knows some of these kids will not play at Ole Miss, but he offers them so he can have inflated numbers to keep the boosters happy. He then turns around and says I can't win if these players don't qualifiy. The Ole Miss fans are buying this up, even though it is all smoke and mirrors.

LSU consistently rotates its DL, and everyone that deserves to be on the field gets snaps. LSU is putting more DL in the NFL right now than any other school. If you want a shot at the next level as a DL, LSU is the place for you.

As for Orgeron, he is desparately trying to get kids into Ole Miss, as his job depends on it. The available talent pool in the State of Miss is thin after LSU, Bama, and AU clean it out. Croom is now getting the best of the rest, leaving little talent left for Orgeron. MSU will climb out of the cellar before OM.

Orgeron is doing a pretty good recruiting job considering he is recruiting at ole myth. Now that the rebels have a recruiting coordinator all they need to do is hire a coach.:hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi:
