So you don't think the cat's character is in question with his multiple DUI's? This could easily have been a Leonard Little situation and the Chiefs ownership wanted no part of it. He's from Miami. What do you want?
TB, I'm afraid Herm is going to have to be canned or get him out of the offensive meetings before the chiefs are going to do anything. I don't think he's that great of a coach. He's been there for over three years now and this team is horrible.
He'll probably be gone but it should be the GM. He cant recruit players and they decided to rebuild after his first year. You could put someone like Parcells in there for the past three years and the record would still be the same. When you dont have a QB, OL, or receivers it makes moving the ball pretty tough.
Herm is a terrible coach. He had a losing record with the Jets before KC, and Peterson actually gave up a draft pick in order to get Herm. One good draft still doesn't cover up many many years of incompetence. Herm went to KC with the promise of building a defense to match the high powered offense of Dick Vermeil. Instead, he tore down the offense, and still hasn't build up the defense. Yesterday's game was embarassing. Dorsey and Bowe are building blocks for the future, but the chiefs will never be a quality team until they have an offensive line that can actually block simple running plays and pass protect for more than 2 seconds.
I think thats putting it a bit too mildly.... Didn't he drive a quality Parcell's coached team into the ground?:thumb:
My complaint is that the Chiefs got played. They let themselves get backed into a corner, instead of being more proactive by saying (1) we do not want this guy; (2) he does not want to be here; so (3) let's get the most we can for him. By being indecisive, the Chiefs waited until every one in the NFL (including the guy selling programs in the parking lot) knew he had to go and no one was going to make a good deal. Then, after trading him for less than value, they did not get any adequate replacement. It was just a badly played hand and typical of the Chiefs getting themselves in trouble because of Carl Peterson's stubbornness.
