DOOMSDAY for B.C.S. What if LSU lost to Arkansas Auburn loses to Alabama and S.C. Oregon loses to Arizona and Oregon St. TCU lost to New Mexico Boise lost Nevada Ohio State lost to Michigan Wisconsin lost to Northwestern and whoever stanford playes they lose too wouldnt that be the craziest couple weeks of college football ever i cant come up with who would be playing in the NCG if this happens :helmet::geauxtige:LSU231:
What if.... Seriously that would be a mess I agree, but IMO I think this could have a great chance to happen, Auburn could very well lose to Bama and South Carolina, Oregon is not going to lose both of those games but Oregon State has a decent chance, TCU will not lose to New Mexico, Nevada had a good chance to beat Boise, And the last to probably won't happen. But as for your topic I would assume the teams that you didn't include next in the rankingswould make it to the NC assuming they won their games as well.
At this point I really hope Boise and TCU end up in the national championship game if we can't be there. That way there will be no doubt that this system is a farce.
I agree. Just because you beat an overranked Ore St and an ,underperforming conference leader, VT, doesn't mean you are one of the best teams in the country. Amazing to me still that the talking heads bash the BCS teams when they go play the likes of La Tech, ULM, and the likes, but give no credit to the fact that they play 6 to 8 top 25 teams throughout every season. Yet BSU and TCU get raves for stepping out and playing 2 top 25 BCS teams, give me a break. This is not to say that BSU and TCU are not very good teams, because they are, but they are in no way a representative of the best teams in the country.
If we don't make it I would like to see that too, just to throw a wrench in the dang thing but I won't complain cause the system has been VERY good to us (SEC). Even moreso is the fact that we STILL have half of our conference in the Top 25 with one regular season game left. To me that is more impressive than them being ranked when we played them and give more validity to SOS when teams we've played are ranked in the polls the last two or three weeks.
I posted this a few weeks ago and can only hope that this would happen...I guess I would have to update it with Wisconsin and Stanford losing a's well....
My questions is this... Season finishes as it is now... Teams get their bowl invites. After getting an invite to the NCG and accepting, Auburn's wrongdoings are exposed by a smoking gun.. like.. Photo of Cam with money from a guy with an Auburn ID. Does the BCS have the power to rescind an accepted invite?
