Everyone, don't get your hopes up just yet. The article makes no mention whatsoever of whether Crowton would even be interested in the La. Tech job, or Tech in him, even if Dooley ends up at Tennessee.
I didn't start this thread with the thought that this has any legs at this point, I definitely dont want to get anyone's hopes up legitimately (yet) :redface:
I think this was said in another thread (perhaps the Crowton to Bears thread) "I feel as though I am watching the ole' miss game again I get my hopes up then they are shot down." This is what I feel like with the latest Crowton news. Dont get me wrong I would LOVE for this to be true. But I've gotten my hopes up and had them smashed a couple of times in this off season about the cancer of our offense and I dont know if I'm ready to get my hopes up again. Again I would LOVE for this to be legit. Guess we will have to see how it all plays out. :tigereye:
nice article, but it's not going to happen. I have given up on Crowton being gone next year. I have written article after article dogging him, but it is all for self satisfaction. For some reason, we are just not going to get rid of that clown. I'm glad every one seems to dislike him as much as i do though. If I was Gary, I don't care how much money I am making, I would get out of BR due to the humiliation I was taking to the face. The only hope for this move to La Tech happening is that the new AD they hire knows nothing about how bad he was here, didn't watch our game vs La Tech, and is just given paper facts about how well he did there in his first stint. :geaux:
Everyone needs to get it set in their heads that Crowton is going to be in Tiger Stadium directing our offense into the ground just as he did in 2009.
:geaux: Am watching KNOE TV in Monroe and they mentioned three candidates that Tech is looking at currently and Crowton IS NOT ONE OF THEM. Major Applewhite was one name mentioned and Tommy Bowden was another one. A third candidate was also mentioned and can't remember that one, but I'm absolutely certain none of the candidates mentioned was Crowton. Doesn't mean he won't be considered IF he expressed interest. He may also just want to stay in Baton Rouge and torture everyone with his play calling for anther year.:LSU231:
