Not since we had to give up a home game to get Florida here this year. If we had not given in, Florida would not have won the East. They had everything to lose, we did not.
Say what. The accumulation of an extra road game and one less comfortable home game is a big negative. It's similar to the hurricane year when we played so many weeks b2b. It wears on the team over the course of a season.
And what's the difference??? He's an incompetent ass. He could try his best and we'd still be screwed.
The SEC Commissioner was getting ready to bend us over the barrel and fuck us. I hate Alleva as much as all of you but that wasn't on him. Everyone is acting like we could have turned them down. That's not how real life works. The SEC was going to force a game to happen. We were screwed the minute the SEC allowed Florida to cancel. Alleva did what he could to turn a shit sandwich into a steak. Some of you need to come off it.
No chance that happens to bama in the same situation. Alleva was too naive to see he was getting played. He thought he made a good deal. He has no pull. He's an idiot and doesn't even realize it. At least when negotiating- which is one of the most important aspects of his job. If you don't see the sucker an hour into your card game, well, the sucker is you. That's Alleva.
The Athletic Director can't over-ride the University President and the Governor. I think Alleva did want him out, but couldn't out "Power" FKA and Jindal. Most everybody knows what went down there.........................
No fucking joke it doesn't happen to Bama. We aren't Bama. The SEC has an agenda to push and until we can beat Bama, we aren't the agenda.
Doesn't change the fact alleva got played bc he's naive as fuck. The last few coaching hires made that crystal clear.
