They have a legit shot at not only getting into the playoffs but win their division and get this.....get homefield advantage throughout the NL playoffs. They play Arizona at home for a 3 game series to end the season this weekend. They play one more game at Los Angeles on Thursday night. If they run the table, then all they need is for San Diego to lose 1 game and Colorado wins the division and home field advantage throughout. They own the tie-breakers over San Diego, the Phillies and the Mets due to head to head records. This is unreal. They were left for dead 11 days ago, but since has won 10 in a row. They are 48-30 at home, so things are looking very possible for this most exciting team.
They are playing some amazing ball, that's for sure. The 10 game win streak is the longest in club history. The amazing thing is it's a different hero each night. One night it might be Hawpe, the next night Holliday, the next night Helton, the next night the amazing rookie shortstop Tulowitzski. Speaking of Tulo check out the play he made last night on the Rockie's link. It's the 2nd item on the related links on the right side of the page. http://colorado.rockies.mlb.com/new...tent_id=2232344&vkey=recap&fext=.jsp&c_id=col
Rockies win big tonite. Now's it down to just this 3 game series with the Dbacks. Very possible 3 way tie for the division in the end. What a weekend of baseball.
Colorado vs San Diego in a 1 game playoff Unfortunately they must face Jake Peavy. I hope they make it, they are much more exciting to watch than the most boring team in the majors, the San Diego Padres.
Brad came through again yesterday in the 8th. :thumb: Finished the regular season with a .292 ba, 29 HR's and 116 RBI's. The Rockies have had some success against Peavy. I read or heard that he has a 3-3 record at Coors Field. Geaux Rockies!!!
I hope Peavy throws a perfect game and the rockies cry for weeks. Too bad Ill be watching MNF anyways.
