I think it may be a little early in the contract to start crowing about a return on that investment. I’m not saying there won’t be a return, and I can see how that second consecutive trip to Shreveport (2007) and a recruiting class, not yet completely qualified and actually playing looks like a good return on your investment (I can sure remember when we were glad to go to Shreveport – even enjoyed beating Nick). I just think it is a little early – give it another season or two or three.
Yes I did, and I just did again, you have yet to say anthing about the NC since we won it. Not one mention of the NC game from you.
Our fans have been seeking for appreciation for Miles like a 12 year old girl does with a new haircut for years. Who cares. People respect him but dont expect to hear it.
If you're gonna come on a Tiger forum and question his ability, then step up when he proves you wrong, or I'll call you on it.
I have said he did a good job this year and I still question some of the calls he made this year. Whether it was related to the game vs OSU, I couldn't tell you. He took a lot of chances with some of the calls this year. The team came out on the winning end of those calls. If one of those calls goes the wrong way, the conversations about the NC wouldn't even exist.
Not to be rude, but I don't feel like this conversation should be had to begin with. Let's examine CLM's results thus far: 2005: 11-2; blow-out victory over Miami, FL in bowl game, finished ranked #5 2006: 11-2; blow-out victory over Notre Dame in the Sugar Bowl, finished ranked# 3 2007: 12-2; SEC Champions and a nice whipping of tOSU in THE BCS NC game; finished ALL polls ranked #1. Did I mention that he lead the Tigers to victories over the eventual ACC champ and the reigning Big 10 champ in the same season? He has compiled a 34-6 record at LSU, and how many seniors will he graduate from this class alone? Miles can coach my Tigers as long as he wants. So, TerryP and all the rest of you critics and haters, please go find someone else to criticize. If you are looking for a coach(s) to be critical of I can help you with that one- Coach Stoops, Coach Tressel, Coach Spurrier (what has he done at USCe ?), Charlie Weiss, .... "Have a great day!" :crystal::champs::crystal::champs::crystal:
Oh, like when we question Saban’s integrity and Bama fans act like we killed every male child in Tuscaloosa. Now I think I understand. Every coach in college ball can be “questioned” except Saban. That answers a lot of questions.
you can question every coach's calls, including St. Nick. Calls at the end of the Ark game goes the other way, and bama doesn't even make it to the Indy bowl. I can argue that the Fla. game, Saban would never have went for it. He would have kicked a field goal and Fla. would have went down and kicked a FG to win, and we damn sure wouldn't have been talking about a NC game. And I base that on his past actions as a head coach. You act like he's never lost a game or made a boneheaded call. Why do you come on here, question Miles, but never, ever, ever, question St. Saban? You grudgingly admit a faux pas, if it's pointed out to you. Every coach can be questioned except your beloved Saban. I'm sick of it.
The difference being people question calls when they work and people criticize calls when they do not.. Fact is that they did in fact work out. I watched a few Alabama games this year and some of them had some calls I questioned at the time.. only because they worked out for the Tide and they won. Otherwise I would have criticized them! Seriously, though, I am gonna go out on a limb here and guess that every single team, especially in how crazy this past college football season was, had at least a few calls to question last year. Also, these other teams could have stopped LSU. It wasn't like Florida wasn't trying on those fourth downs and Auburn allowed us to score at the end. No one cares that the Giants almost lost to the Packers with all of those missed field goals at the end of the game (thanks to Corey Webster's interception!) because it worked out in the end and they went on to win the Super Bowl. Who right now is questioning Coughlin about that and how he handled his kicker? Anyone? ...
