is going to break out against Auburn. For some reason I get the feeling CLM knows a loss here due to the offense could ignite some serious finger pointing or more in his direction. I think the coach gets them going. Tigers will finally put some points on the board.
Auburn is going to pound us with the run inside. We need to return the favor because they are weak against the run . . . really weak.
Felt good about this game for a few weeks. I've watched Aub several times this year and their defense is not up to normal Aub standards. Their offense was good in the first few weeks but their O-coordinator started getting too cute and their QB has been one hoping balls. We should have a field day running against them and their LB's will not be able to cover Dickson. He should be wide open all day. I think this is a big confidence builder game. 28-10 LSU!
On the other hand . . . Scoring offense per game = Auburn 35, LSU 23 Total offense per game = Auburn 464, LSU 295 Rushing offense per game = Auburn 247, LSU 124 If Auburn is allowed to run the ball and maintain possession, Jefferson doesn't have a hop in hell of scoring the 36 points it may take to beat Auburn.
I dont know if the offense will be a lot better but they should look a lot better. Odds are we will be able to run the ball - which obviously will make other parts of the offense look better.
Auburns' offensive numbers seem to drop each week.... what did they put up at Kentucky.... something just over 300 yards total. I can't see them getting much more than that @ LSU. Btw, my son and a group of his Auburn buddies are headed to LSU tomorrow.... got themselves a limo to come up from NOLA for the game. Be nice to them, as they will be high in "spirits".
2 things are going to happen Sat Night 1- JJ throws at least a 60 yard TD pass - fans go crazy 2- RS runs for at least a 40 yard TD - fans go crazy:geaux:
If the offense struggles against one of the worst defenses in the sec after 2 weeks to prepare then I don't think there is much hope for the rest of this season.
