Yeah we need to increase the diameter of all our pipelines cause Alabama seems to have been cut off

Well we didn't get anybody out of Alabama last year.

We'll have an ever better idea how cut off we truly are after this year.

We can't cherry pick in Alabama, that's for sure.

Our pipelines to Florida and Texas are really really good. And that's all you really need, as those are arguably the best 2 states in the nation, high school talent wise (California being up there as well). Add in Mississippi and Georgia for a recruit or 2 every year and we're doing just great.

Alabama, and in particular Mobile, is looking to be cut off from us and everyone else for that matter. I've been in Mobile a good bit over the last couple weeks to shore up some business and the local red elephant clubs are in full swing mode. They openly brag about building a fence around Mobile and even broke their arms patting themselves on the back for getting an anit-gump radio announcer fired. I also heard some strong arm tactics are being used to persuade parents and family members to keep their kids in state and in particular at Bama. The few Aubs I work with are claiming foul play.

These gump clubs are hell bent on getting Bama all the Mobile talent they can. One Aub even told me they are paying some tuitions at the area private schools to make sure their influence is wide and deep with all involved. There is rumblings about the kid at St. Pauls, the QB I think, saying he is signed, sealed and delivered for Bama.

We got nobody this year from Alabama but I dont think we recruited anyone super hard. If we get nobody again next year then its time to make token appearances only in the area. We dont need Alabama players for LSU to be successful. We have strong ties in other areas that more than make up for whatever we may miss out on in Mobile.

No offense but Im sick of hearig about pipelins here and there. We dont have piplines in other states. LSU recruits fairly well in Texas and Florida, but for the most part we pick players. Its not like its a pipeline, there is a big difference. Our pipeline is Louisiana. We may or may not get some of these kids, but getting all hyped up this soon is hilarious. I hope we do get most or some of these kids but its not a pipeline. Its jumping to conclusions and wishful thinking. If you want to use pipeline is a loose term, thats fine, but most take it too literal. Like these kids are a given and that LSU is the favorite for them. Thats a pipeline.

Not at all worked up like it sounds. Just pointing out. If you disagree then so be it, thats just my opinion.

I did mean pipelines in a very loose sense, as bandit was alluding to.

It's silly to think of it in a literal sense, I agree.
