Then there are two or three 1-year scholarship available for walk-ons? I like to see hard-working senior walk-ons get a full ride for that year.
That is standard procedure guys like Stampley, Dugas, Bailey, etc... will be candidates. As or the other question, I see Ridley as mainly a RB even if Allen doesn't play. Maybe we use him occasionally at FB but not much IMO.
I agree and I don't really see it but maybe they fall in love with his blocking ability. I know some were throwing around H-back early on in his recruitment but TE seemed to be settled on for a majority of his recruitment. Maybe a way to get him some PT earlier than he would at TE.
I liked watching Richard Dickson in that Senior Game at fullback, thought he did a nice job, plus it would be nice to have a guy with good hands coming out of the fullback position in the passing game. Also the Saints had some nice plays with David Thomas lining up at fullback. So if Travis is anything like Richard i think this would be a cool thing.
Chase Clement might be the best option. I've noticed he is pretty good at blocking in the open field and he probably knows the playbook better than Worle or Dickson. Mitch Joseph at TE, D. Peterson at TE/WR behind Joseph, Clement at FB and Ridley at RB would be a very strong running formation.
I wonder how long Dominique's suspension from the team will be. The first time Perriloux was suspended indefinitely (May 22, 2007), he was back on the team in time for preseason practice. I hope Dominique's suspension from the team helps him get his head on straight, I think he could be a great one for LSU. pic of big Dominique at LSU practice: http://i735.photobucket.com/albums/ww354/dponamsky/Picture077-2.jpg
