    Just checked in with another source close to the program and was told the following:
    "He's out."
    Based on what I'm told, Kiel notified Brian Kelly of his intentions today, but release papers haven't been signed yet.

    After spending last season as a scout team quarterback the former five-star prospect from Columbus, Ind., plans to transfer, a source tells Irish Illustrated.

    Not sure of the specifics to transferring. Since he didn't play in a game, will he have to sit out a year if he goes to another D1 school? Also, how many years of eligibility will he have?
