Yeah, I don't see how that could be possible, either. Are there even that many left after season ticket holders?
In my experience, opponents never take the Tiger Stadium crowd out of the game. I've seen it happen, but when it does, it is a low-intensity Tiger team that quiets the crowd. If the crowd suspect that the team isn't trying very hard . . . then they get quiet. I saw a couple of those teams in the Curly Hallman days and in Dinardo's 2-8 final season. They gave up and the crown gave up on them. Somehow I don't expect that from this damn strong team.
That game 07 vs Fla was about the best game I ever saw and loud. Two old timer games that stand out. First when ND came here after we was robber in South Bend. I was running by the Library when we held then on 4th down goal line stand and the windows shook. We whupped them 28-8. When we was robbed again against Southern Cal 17-9 with Marcus Allen & Charles White in the backfield a SC lineman said it made ND seem quiet. Those two had only 68000 in the stand (capacity). LSU's crowd can be an awesome weapon.:geaux:
Don't be a fool. They would have had to buy season tickets pay TAF $2500+ and get in front of 100000 TFs. They got their alotment (my guess less than 10000 as SEC foes get 15000) plus a few on stub hub. I bet they have fewer than 10000.:geaux:
The loudest consistently in a game that I've been to was Oregon St a few years ago. I've been to most of the big games in the last 7-8 years and that was by far one of the loudest. So don't think that WVU gets a pass just because they aren't an SEC opponent.
