Dont be surprised to see the "Hat" continue his dominance using the two QB system...Mett + Rivers = National Championship!
Blackmon is projected 7th and Jeffery is 24th , so yeah it hasn't been affected ..:rolleye33: NFL Draft 2012 - ESPN
I am a big Landry fan. I like Shepard. He is a good kid, promotes the program well, but was never going to be a pro QB, so I think he made the right decision to play WR. We just have better WR's on the team right now than Shep. I really would like to see Landry catch one and be able to make a play. He took a short punt earlier in the season and gashed the return team for about 29 yds and looked better than any of our return guys doing it. H ejust looks really, really fast. I wish he would be used on K.O returns instead of Brooks or Claiborne (mainly because I don't want Claiborne to get hurt). Landry seems tp have that viper mentality and I am excited to see what he can do with the ball in his hands next season.
I think his dad owns a car dealership up in Bastrop, so it doesn't seem likely that he'll "need" to leave early. Good grief, y'all. With RR returning, ODB being proven, Landry getting more snaps, and Mett running the show, this WR corp is gonna be off the chain. And I haven't given up on Shep. He's improved a lot as the season has gone on. The suspension really set him back, though.
Yippee! You found ONE mock that says differently. There are several others that project him top 5. Until the draft happens, you never know. Mocks are NEVER accurate. Jeffrey has done all he needed to do in college. They're not winning the SEC or going to a BCS bowl anytime soon. All he needs to do is have a strong pro day and workout.
His dad doesn't own a car dealership but his family ain't hurtin either. If he comes out it won't be one of those "my family needed the money" scenarios. I'm not even sure his dad works anymore actually since the mill closed. That affected every business in town. The only car dealership left in Bastrop now is actually owned by NFL HOF'er Cris Carter's brother Butch. He played in the NBA himself and coached the Toronto Raptors for a while. Before that Aeneas Williams (former Cardinals and Rams DB and HOF'er himself) owned two in town.
Jeffrey is rated as the third best WR on that list, so depending on the needs of the teams he could still go much higher than 24th.
Then where did I get that from? I thought a lot of people were saying that "Emmet Randle might have trouble ever selling another car in Batrop" right around the time that he got vocally involved in Reuben's recruitment right near the end.
