He knows the playbook. He knows the formations. He can interpret the hand signals. Richt himself said that not much has changed since Mett departed. Appears to me that he is a great asset on our sideline.
I would think so. Kolb possibly helped Arizona stop the Eagles offense. He knew the play before it was being run, not sure how much of the info got to the defenders though. He said he was yelling at the cornerback nearest him on the sideline.
If Mett remembers the play book, formations and calls after a very long year and for only a semester of spring ball... wow! Anyway, I hope so, but I am not thinking it will be the advantage.
He's only seen mop up duty. The only thing I want to see him doing Saturday is tossing JJ a towel when we call a TO and giving him a high 5 when we score a TD.
If Mett leads the O to 3 TDs, then I will toss him a towel and give him a high 5 after each TD he throws.
When Richt was asked about what Mett might contribute to LSU's gameplan... On whether LSU might pick the brain of quarterback Zach Mettenberger... "I didn't even think about that until just now. They might be. We haven't changed an awful lot, and Zach certainly knew what we were doing. They might be picking his brain, I don't know. There is so much that you can get on film now days, I don't know how much more he could add to it. We have also gone to a no-huddle since Zach has gone, and we have code names and hand singles that he has no idea about. I don't think it will be a factor, but it could be."
