Thats a great idea trade in one freshman QB for another freshman in a CLOSE game, and throw him to the wolves. I'm not a big JL fan (can't throw a decent ball, our WR's are getting hit unnecessarily by defenders because of bad throws, can't read coverage, etc), but to put JJ in to me would mean that the coaching staff had given up on the game. You don't make a major QB change when the game is still competitive. Who knows how JJ could've have done, he could be brilliant (maybe), orhe could do what freshman who don't know the personel, playbook, has very little experience (in college football), does and make mistakes. (more then likely).

It's easy to say this and that now that the game is over, but during the game I felt everyone had to trust JL to step up, and it's unfortunate that he didn't.

I would have liked to see him come in for a series or two and run some option with some play action off of the option.

The only time I would have tried out Jefferson is on 3rd and short.

    Let me ask a question.
Have you ever played a sports game in your entire life?
Sometimes you have to do that if no other reason than to settle down your starter.
Sometimes the games moves to fast and he needs to slow down and take a deep breath.
Also you are at least giving yourself a chance other than sticking with the status quo, you never know what can happen unless you do nothing and repeat the same old thing.

Do I think a true freshman without a single completed pass in his career would have made a difference?

    No.

Lee is making his freshman mistakes right now. Jeffersons are all before him.

Um. yes I have but not on any of these guys level, but I am an adiment sports fanatic, and there is something called "confidence" and "rhythm", if you take him out the game and he loses his confidence, minus well just pack it up and go home. Why do you think the coaching staff and players were rallying around him even after the mistakes, ohhh i dont' know maybe it was to keep his confidence, but thats just what I think, but what do I know lol

Had Hatch been healthy though, we win the UGA and Bama...that would make a difference.

Yea, thats why Urban Meyer pulled Chris Leak and put in Tebow.
Doesn't seem JL has much confidence anyway.

    Yes, what do you know?:rolleye33:

I agree, when Hatch was healthy, notice the coaching staff didn't hesitate to take Lee out if he wasn't doing well, but the lost of Hatch was huge

Leak was the starter his senior year, Teblow came in as his back up and in certain situations.
