Does every defensive play need some sort of celebration?

defense constantly out of position over-pursuing and the celebrations have to stop!!

time for new DC, it needs to be someone with a strong personality who needs to get in these guys' facemasks when they make a mistake. that 90+ yard drive with all the penalties was should be used as a teaching tool for every football player in the nation of what not to do when playing defense.

i've been pretty patient all season, today was ugly. changes must be made, it's not an option.

That should be the video they play for Mallory and Peveto when they're sat down a told to take a hike. Payout their contracts or whatever needs to be done. Just get 'em out of here.

In total agreement. But the celebration horecrap must be nipped in the bud now. Problem is, it's already started and gone on too long.

Last year it was tons of costly personal fouls and this nonsense:

This year it's Alem's stupid poses, Coleman's jabbering in the faces of WRs he tackles after 20 yard completions over the middle, and Johnson's personal fouls on 3rd and 29 on the Arky 5.

Les Miles has fallen prey to the most common foible in the human psyche: self-satisfaction. He got lots of millions and backed into a national title last year. This year, he's an average coach and his team is an average team and has zero discipline. LSU!

What does Alem do with his hands pointed outwards? What is that all about? I've seen a few other players make that gesture?

The best was Byrd's hand in front of the face.

You know i Like miles but i will say this THAT is EXCATLY what my Uncle told me about him. My Uncle lives in Sooner country and he said Miles is average stuff. I sure hope he is wrong.

Cause if you think about it the SEC has got some pretty dang good coaches around the horn.

My uncle, who doesn't live in Sooner country, says "Dat Les, he a dam good coach."

We'll see whose uncle is smarter a couple of years from now.

I agree with you. Auburn does that and us Bama fans have made fun of them for it for years. I'm pretty sure LSU doesn't want to act like Auburn.

I have never liked Miles, I know his overall record is great and I was beginning to think I was wrong but a great coach would never have coached like he did this year.. Our last three Quaterbacks were all drafted & talent like that will make you look like a good coach. Twice last year LSU was ranked number one & both times we lost to inferior teams. We truly did get lucky last year & this year seems to be totally without luck. Even with a different defensive approach next year is gonna really show what kind of coach Miles is.. I hope he proves me wrong... Recruiting great talent is only half the battle.

I'm with you on the Miles bandwagon. I quite frankly did not care if he went to Michigan. I have said from day one that he is too nice of a guy. I want a coach in people's face if they do stupid things. Even last year we were so fortunate to get in the NC game. Look at the players who were on that team. Most people had this defensive front ranked number 1 in the country. Is it a bunch of thugs or what. That hugging of Trumane Johnson is intolerable to me. God what a frustrating year watching this coaching circus. I have worked very hard to attempt to support Les in spite of what I was seeing.
I truly believe it is the worst coaching performance as a staff since I have been watching LSU. And that is a long time freinds.:angryfire:angryfire:angryfire:angryfire:angryfire:angryfire:angryfire:angryfire:angryfire:angryfire:angryfire:angryfire:angryfire:angryfire:angryfire:angryfire:angryfire:angryfire:angryfire:angryfire:angryfire:angryfire:angryfire:angryfire:angryfire:angryfire:angryfire:angryfire:angryfire:angryfire:angryfire:angryfire:angryfire:angryfire:angryfire:angryfire:angryfire:angryfire:angryfire:angryfire

so them 5 losses in '02 proves Saban ain't a great coach.
He had enough talent to win a MNC on that team, and proved it the next year. But he couldn't win with Marcus Randal at QB or that failed experiment with whichever Causen kid started that one game.
Especially losing to Arky on a last minute prayer into the endzone.

    Just sayin'
