I think the Tigers wore 'em once. @ Kentucky, Oct 14, '95 in a loss, no TV (pay-per-view only). LSU 16, yUcK 24. Images are rare, with good reason. I recall a small Tiger logo on the front of the left hip, dark purple/no stripes, regular white jerseys and gold helmets, hideous.
Hideous is the word! We were discussing on another board uniforms we liked, and hated. That was going to be on the ole hate list!
I spent a while on the Google images search, absolutely nothing. Of course this was centuries ago in terms of sports journalism via internet, digital photography, etc, relatively speaking. And nothing searching here in TF.com, I guess somebody gonna have to go to the library archives on Goodwood Blvd and see if there's still a copy of the Advocate layin around, I remember nice full color shot the day after the game.
I could only find one shot of the purple pants and it's black and white. lol Here is the white helmet and gold jerseys Gold jerseys and gold helmets
Read the decription under this pic. says "Janie Howard" is the QB in picture. Even if you didn't know that Howard was white, and wore # 4 instead of 17, seems like the name M. Hill on it would tip the guy off that it ain't Jamie.:hihi:
If you don't mind paying a couple dollars you might be able to find a pick in one of these articles. http://news.google.com/archivesearch?q=lsu+kentucky&num=50&sa=N&cid=8569696706101658
