I've been one of the more vocal posters criticizing Miles. I have been wanting him out of here, although I knew they didn't have quite the reasons to let go such a successful coach. This year, those things happened. Miles put himself in the situation to be fired by not doing his job. That said, he has been very classy with his kids and the school. He has said the right things through out this process, Alleva could have and should have shown Miles that same respect. It's professional decorum. By not issuing any statements either way Alleva is only making LSU look bad. If Alleva issues a statement maybe LSU isn't taking as much of a beating because they are at least trying to squash the rumblings or come out and say Miles is being let go.

What I want is for CLM to allow Cam to run the offense the way he wants or hire an OC and allow him to handle the game plan and in game decisions. But that is not going to happen. We know it is not going to happen. If that WAS going to happen, it would have already taken place. So, unfortunately, it is time to move on.

Levity is encouraged during teaching moments. I will explain what levity is once our lesson with irregardless is done.

there is no easy answer. its so much more complicated than what we see on the surface. Many coaches' lives, families and legalities are affected besides one leslie edwin miles. hes been compensated to handle the turbulence along the way. Although he deserves proper handling and respect upon his exit, theres no guarantee the variables in play will allow it. thats what we have here.

Nothing anyone could have said or done would have changed the reaction from the emotional fans here as well as nationwide who love les. Nothing, unless he agreed to a retirement but this dudes toying with the media for martyrdom and succeeding. And thats a credit to him not necessarily a knock on LSU.

    But breakups are hard.

Its like trying to settle everything before you go to the divorce lawyer. Shits gonna get ugly and theres nothing you can do prior to change that. except to pay the whore. And we have. figuratively speaking on the whore part. literally on the pay.

There are legions of CFB head coaches whose departures were immediately preceded by ADs saying that the coach has their full confidence and support. Again, from a PR perspective that likely changes nothing.
