I touched on this in another thread, after several OC's since /08, the on-field product remains the same... stick with what you know, gump football and single wide trailers.
If we get Jimbo, with his reputation for developing QB's, LSU may just pull Franks back in to the mix or LSU gets other high profile QB's.
He's a Florida kid. If he wanted to play for a Jimbo so badly, why didn't he commit to FSU & the Fighting Jimbos, when the offered him?
So many experts on what the AD should be doing. Damn y'all people are thick. I wish y'all had half the critical response to Miles that you have for Alleva - Miles would have been gone long ago.
He lined up a visit there once he got the feeling Cam might not return, so I think getting Jimbo would help, but he's a strong Florida lean.
I voted yes regardless. The past 2 years have been disappointing in. The critical areas of preparation and adjustment as has been noted often here. Also the dumpster fire that has been burning the last few weeks has poisoned the well beyond recovery for Les and it's time to go. Les doesn't deserve the shit that has been dumped on him but he has responsibility as well. Had he not become so complacent or conservative much of the last few years would have been different. 2 years ago he deserved defending and support. Today he deserves respect and a classy parting with LSU for what he has done for the school.
just as you have been the expert on les for a few years. alleva is doing his job as he's told to do it, just a mouthpiece. doesn't mean that this situation has been handled professionally. 2 separate issues as far as i'm concerned
With Alleva interjecting, does it make Miles look less neutered? Are you really asking for Alleva to tell us that he supports Les, like every other AD does before letting the coach go? There is no way this could have gone smooth as a cherub's ass on a cloud, and we aren't playing tiddlywinks, though I can't tell from some of the reactions here. I respect the hell out Miles, but these are the things that grown ups have to do sometimes. Not every decision is easy and without negative consequences.
