Yes, I know it is just a rumor. There might not be an ounce of truth to it, or it could be true, but absolutely nothing could come from it. Assuming, however, that it is true, though, and NCAA did send officials to LSU, Alabama, and Arkansas and told them that one of the three of them was going to be crowned SEC-W champions and would be playing South Carolina in the SEC-CG, I wonder if the players know. I know all three teams have a lot to play for already, but you'd think that it would be a POWERFUL motivating factor for the type of play that we're seeing from Bama today, and that we'll hopefully see from our Tigers tomorrow.
If it is true, due to the risk of it getting out, I don't think they told the players. I do however think, again if it is true, they let the players know that the hopes for all the marbles are not dead yet and that they need to play like they have a chance.
Where is this information coming from? Maybe I'm not looking in the right place or whatever, but I am not seeing/hearing much about the whole NCAA/Auburn situation.
Really and do you think the NCAA/SEC would let players and coaches leak the information before they put their spin on it in a press release?
