I haven't heard that they apologized. Why would they apologize for a legit arrest? Good that you finally conceded he didn't build a clock. That took more work hat it should have. If we Can agree he didn't build a clock, what exactly did he build, if not a hoax bomb?
Here are some other points: His sister claims she had already been suspended for bomb issues. Ahmed claims he has been called "the bomb maker" before. That may have been teasing, or maybe good natured bal busting from his pals, but it means it isn't credible when Ahmed claims to lack any self awareness about His case with wires in it, which clearly is a hoax bomb.
Isn't that what gofundme is? Several of those for Ahmed that are around $10k. Add in the LaunchGood campaign, which is now at over $16k and the acknowledged troublemaker victim is quite well funded.
I think it is pretty clear Ahmed's motives were not to impress his teachers by putting a radio shack clock in a box. One of the other terrifically non-credible things Ahmed said was that the case had a buckle closure, but he closed it with a twisted wired, because that looks less suspicious. ? The kid is a bad liar.
Army veteran Chris Mintz who had tried to stop the Oregon shooter and was shot 5 times has had over $250,000 raised for him in a matter of hours on GoFundMe yesterday. At least that money is actually for a worthy cause. Be he still won't get invited to the White House
He was never charged with a crime! He was quickly released. The whole uproar is happening because it was not a proper arrest. Your reading comprehension has gotten no better. I said he didn't invent a clock, but he did assemble one out of clock parts like kids do. They take things apart and mess with them. You were never a child, but most of us do things like that. Good that you have conceded that he did not build a bomb. We don't agree! It was exactly what he said it was. A homemade gadget built from harmless parts. A hoax bomb has hoax explosives, like a pipe, a bottle of liquid, modeling clay, or road flares. This clock had nothing like that. A bomb hoaxer leaves it surreptitiously for someone to discover and cause an evacuation. Or he uses it to threaten harm to someone. That did not happen, did it? No, the kid took showed it to his science teacher who instantly recognized it for what it was. A harmless gadget made from clock parts. Look, we had had lengthy discussions on this topic already and I don't intended to repeat posts I've done before. Why don't you read the thread? VBall has argued all of these points already (more effectively, BTW) and they have been responded to already. You know I have little tolerance for repeating myself for those who don't pay attention.
He is a kid, not a Rhodes Scholar. Source? If you look at the photo, you can see that the pencil case is damaged. Perhaps the latch no longer worked properly. So what?
