Just trying to kill time for the next ~26 days... When LSU plays on the road, do you have any traditions/rituals/clothing that you try to do? Does it depend on the start time of the game? (Obviously if you are fortunate enough to attend the away games you are a lucky SOB and should just back out of this thread slowly. ). For me, it depends on the time of day - if it's one of those god-awful early games, and one of my kids has an event (soccer games usually), then I often have to watch the game in a delayed fashion - I'll have my DVR start recording it, and I watch it on a delayed basis until I catch up live (by skipping the commercials). For the later starting games, I'll often have family and/or friends over (my TV is the biggest ). (I've only been able to attend a couple of away games - the last one was the Bama game two seasons ago - great game, especially the end! )
Lucky LSU cap a friend got me for Christmas to replace the old one that was responsible for a lot of bad gris-gris. :hihi:
same ridiculousness i do for home games. 1. Get there too early. 2. Dress for success. mystical tiger pants from the 03 season. Genuine Mexican leather hat. Voodoo-enriched pair of chuck taylors (with the hurricanes, i didn't get'em juju'ed last year. See where that got us?) 3. Hot Boudin and lots of it.
I got to UL and tailgate... and watch the LSU game... Some of the UL fans walk by and are pissed off... Then I catch them watching the game and tell them to get the F away from my tv... hehe
tailgate on my patio and cook some food. as long as i don't have to work, that is. friends come over and we drink and be merry. i then tend to smack my hands on the ceiling fan whilst celebrating. gosh dam apartment
a couple of things are the same as for home games. wake up and immediately text "geaux" to a few out of town friends, who respond with "tigers!" eat a corndog for breakfast. if its an away game, then i try to follow the same as is tailgating tradition. if it is something edible, i cook the other teams mascot for lunch and/or dinner. something pork for arkansas, when we played va tech i made turkey gumbo.
