Do we rally or are the distractions too much?

What was touted as an incredible match up between two tops teams has all of a sudden swung largely to Oregon's side.

If the Tigers could some kind of way put aside the fight, possible suspensions and the suspension of our top offensive threat we would have to consider this one of the biggest opening wins in recent memory given the circumstances.

Will these distractions be too much or does the team rally?

Personally, I think all things being equal this was going to be an incredible game against two very evenly matched teams. With the off the field issues mounting including today's suspension of Sheppard, I think it's too much to overcome.

I think Miles has them ready, no matter who plays. I think the entire team comes out with a chip on their shoulder, especially the defense. These guys definitely have something to prove.

I think Miles makes decisions very soon and moves on. The police damn sure aren't moving at light speed.

Sure they are, by releasing information that they have to the media just a little too soon.

We stand together and fight till the end ! What the hell ! Oregon does not have Harris and is under NCAA investigation ! When things get tough we come together and get tougher!!!!!! This is a game with 2 teams that have had there excitement off the field. EVEN. As I see it. Sheppard is a great player and JJ will be a minor loss as QB. Heck I think this drives us closer together and Oregon will get 110% out of our players. Do not back a Tiger in the corner !!!! We have depth and a QB JL thats been in the system for 5 years and a solid running offense with RR and JW and Boone with Beckham running everywhere this spring. Oue defense has not been effected at all. Mentally there probably more focused. Our LSU TIGERS will show up upset and no better place to let it all go then on the field with your team mates. Miles will have them ready and focused. Look out DUCK ! Here come the Tigers ! LSU - 31, Oregon - 20.

Miles got his team to finish second in the final BCS poll the year of Katrina. I look for Miles to lead this team into a cohesive, "us against the world" unified, focused mind set for the game.

I think they'll play their tails off....that's always been a hallmark of Miles' teams

I believe this puts the pressure on the ducks to beat us. LSU's victory will be a huge statement and make thousands of fans not only feel better, but also get the excitement back for the season.

UNC was pretty tough after weeks of issues before their game 1 last year.

I think your boys have plenty of time to get their minds right, I'll bet they're focused right now.

It seems to me the Ducks have kept their heads down and worked hard since our troubles of the last few months.

No chance now that either team is going to be caught up in the hoopla over the game. National rankings and ESPN Gameday coverage sure isn't relevant anymore. I expect both teams to be extremely intense and prepared.
