Do u ever see us going to war with china? (China's claim over the South China Sea territory)

China wants to control the South China Sea. All their diplomatic, intelligence, and military efforts have been to claim domain over it and the resources beneath it. They care about this almost as much as getting Taiwan back and far more than North Korea.

But they do not have the air and naval resources to control it physically. The South China Sea has been an American lake since WWII. One nuclear submarine in the sea can control it right now. But the Chinese have been gearing up big time and claiming every reef and shoal as Chinese territory.

We use the international waters with impunity and do not recognize Chinese claims as territorial. They have no hope to control any other oceans and little hope to prevent the US from going there whenever we please.

Regarding China's aggressiveness and claiming the expansive territory of the South China Sea:

. The Obama administration, backed by several Asian governments and entities such as the Brookings Institution, argues that such massive ocean claims at great distance from land are "inconsistent with international law."

So there ya go, Obama told them (swerving neck back and forth). "Oh no they didn't."
