I was just thinking, could we subsidize coach Saban's salary next year, based on NC, Bama sports apparel? Talk about one hand washing the other.

You know, they may be riding high, now, but....When all is said and done, they are just a bunch of inbred Gumps. Just can't escape it.

Well, in the last 5 meetings between us and the mighty gump nation, we are 2 and 3, could easily be 3 and 2 or even 4 and 1. Now that I think about it, it's better they won than Notre Dame. My point is more easily seen after the fact though, because even 2 weeks ago I couldn't see it, but now 2012 is over, that shit is in the past.

Amen. I respect any fans desire to cheer on and support their team.

The Gumps however can't seem to do this without a sense of arrogance and entitlement; gracious and humble are not in their vocabulary. They are the boastful, bragging blow hard at the party that everyone avoids and can't stand.

Another great team, despised primarily because of it's fanbase.
That is the pathetic truth. Bama fans know it, but can't admit it.

There is no fans base whose personal sense of self worth is so dependent on their football team. They think they have no value as human beings and their state is a waste land if the Tide isn't on top. If they had any confidence in their own worth and capabilities they wouldn't need to make up national titles or act as they do. The claim to 5 bogus national titles is a prime example. They now have 10 recognized and any fan base should be proud enough of that...but no the gumps need to add 5 bogus titles to make them feel better. At least ESPN quit acknowledging the Gump claim to 15. If you notice they were saying before the ball game Alabama had 9 and ND 8.

Maybe Saban should share the pyschologist he uses for the team with the rest of the Gumps to make them feel better.

ESPN has changed the Alabama helmet number they use on camera to 15, immediately after the NC game. Not having a logo on the noggin protector, like many teams, you notice stuff like that.

I've posted it before, but what else is the state good for beyond their college football team and just-above-adequate-beaches-where-you-can't-even-buy-a-phukin-drink?

Oh, and Lambert's. I love that place.

If you'll notice they also use the caveat "in the poll era" when stating nine.

Arguing, or making fun of, what a school claims is a waste of time. It's one of those conversations I don't get into because there are reasonable points on both sides. (1941 being a great example)

However, to insinuate championships like the one claimed in 1925 are bogus? Whether you like it or not those victories in the Rose Bowl had a great deal to do with putting football played in the south on the map. It's no different that Tennessee traveling to NY and playing in the Bronx. Hell, in a sense, games like the ones LSU played against Oregon, or beating TCU in the Sugar Bowl added squashing the bias found in the northern media.
