its clear your love for miles is greater than LSU. he's just not very good. its time to accept that i believe. the team has been representative of miles all year. lost and befuddled on gameday and pretty disorganized. this is nothing different of whats been going on 2 years in a row now. we're past the bad luck and coincidence stages.
Yep. What's becoming overwhelmingly obvious is that Miles is only as good as his coordinators, and that just doesn't cut it in the long run. He doesn't have the ability to intervene and exert his control when a particular unit is struggling, most likely because he just lacks the football knowledge. His teams never seem to have a game plan, and they lack discipline in every imaginable way. Today was just the continuation of a trend. We've played like this for the past two years, and I've finally had to come to terms with the fact that this is just a 'Les Miles team'. I can't believe that we only improved by one game this year. Oh, and also that Houston Nutt's sorry ass has his number.
i truly dont care that about the w/l improvement this year. doesnt even cross my mind for whatever reason. i said last year after the bowl win that it wouldnt surprise me if that was JJs best performance of his career, ie, his upside isnt all that great. ill stand by that but he can be a very good qb in this league with some coaching consistency. they need to develop what he does well and stick with it. no more taking the entire clock to get a play in. at least give him 2 options per look to call his own plays to some extent. let him get comfortable and gain an identity to what the hell we are supposed to be doing and learn to do it well. and if he continues to not be able to hit a wr out of a break, bring in russell shepard. establish an offense with him. but for god's sake do something that utilizes what you do well. jesus fn christ. its football and not that hard when you have talent we have. this isnt gd navy. can you imagine this fn coaching staff would look like on a team with severely limited resources like an academy? they have unlimited resources here and they look like they are working with me and gd sabanfan out there. drives me fn crazy.
Tirk, can you please change your avatar? My New Year's resolution was to stop having involuntary boners while innocently looking at an LSU football web site. Oh, and one other thing, why am I having trouble trying to save it as my screen saver?
my thoughts exactly, only i was thinking the opposite direction. i wanted to send thanks to tirk for being a contributor. not so much for his astute insight as for his avatar. that thing is distracting when you're trying to read his comments.
bull****. i said everyone had problems and it was a ****ty game and i include coaching in that. i said dropped passed, underthrown balls, coaching decisions, idiot refs. no where did i say coahes were not the problem and no where did i say miles had no blame. i fully believe part of the problem with our qbs is that they arent being developed and that lies directly at the coaches feet. im sick about the way some things are turning out. dont ever presume to know what is in my head (or heart), and dont ever question my love for lsu.
What about Pryor,Barkley, and Landry Jones. They are 5 star QBs that didn't do that well this year. Should Tressell,Carroll, and Stoops be fired?
Please explain how the game plan was piss poor. Were you privy to game preperations? Do you think the weather may have affected the game plan? What would tou have done differently? Please be specific and explain your reasons for your game plan. Any idiot that can type can post baseless, vague critiques of the coaches decisions.
i dont know what that has to do with my post, but i'll play. no no and should be on thin ice for a lot of things including the culmination of the past few years. but none of them should be fired simply for qb's not playing well.
