I completely agree, you have a 5 star guy, four 4 star guys and a 3 star guy in a recruiting class all on the Dline. I think thats pretty impressive, I am excited about it as you are Issy.

So this pretty much means its over with us and Montgomery.

Yes, I would certainly think so.

I thought it was over with Logan signing, but this puts it over the top.

LSU taking 7 D-lineman is a little much.

Hicks and Sentimore are versatile, though. We need versatile D-Lineman with speed. We were trying to address that with Montgomery, but he must have told the coaches he was going elsewhere.

I'd rather have Louisiana boys anyway!

    I'm with you on that!

I gotta admit I had grown tired of Montomery's recruitment by the time he showed up on LSU's campus and had wanted the staff to just give Logan his deserved scholarship offer. I am glad they did just that.

I think it also locks Mingo in as a LB. I never thought he would end up on the line but I think the number of guys we got who can rush the edge all but ended the speculation.

They may think that is where they can put him, but I just don't see it working out with his height and lack of instincts for reacting to a play. I still think he ends up at DE.

Yes, if he can't handle the OLB position, then the staff will most certainly move him to DE and say "just get after the QB".

In another thread you were lamenting the number of DL available in LA next year. Perhaps the staff sees the same thing and is deciding to take them while we can this year. Get'em while their hot!!

His height is just fine for a LB and his football instincts will develop quickly IMO. He has only been on a football field for 2 years.

Not sure 6'5" would be considered ideal for a LB.

If he grows any taller, the staff will have a tough time leaving him at OLB.

Notwithstanding, I hope he dominates as an OLB at LSU, we need some talent there.
