Re: Darrington Sentimore He either has no shot at qualifying.. or it's character concerns. I figure he'd go to JUCO/prep and end up at LSU if it were grades. He wanted to be a Tiger. That's all I got.. i'm just going off of what i've read.
Re: Darrington Sentimore I have read and heard a few things about his character which don't seem that horrible. The biggest one I would be concerned with is taking plays off. If anything it has more to do with the feel the coaches have with his attitude and work ethic. He was benched during the Sportsman's paradise game last weekend for having a few personal fouls. But that is football and the coaches just wanted him to gain his composure.

Re: Darrington Sentimore Character? What has Darrington Sentimore done for LSU? 1. He bitched & moaned for a few months about not getting an offer, on very public forums Scout & Rivals, while he should have been trying to improve his test/core, like the LSU coaches had asked him to do. 2. Went to Alabama several times & came back with nothing but glowing reviews of that school, players & coaches. 3. Offered a public ultimatum via Scout & Rivals, essentially saying "If you don't offer me now I'm going to sign with Alabama". 4. Followed through with his threat & committed to Alabama. Has talked up Alabama ever since. Coaches don't like ultimatums. Compare Darrington Sentimore to LSU's Russell Shepard & Chris Davenport who along with other LSU recruits have worked to build friendships & help to make this the best class LSU ever. IMO, Bennie Logan, Sam Mongomery &/or possibly DT Josh Boyd (soft MSU commit) would be great additions to LSU.
Re: Darrington Sentimore I live around Destrehan and my daughter knows Sentimore and he has been a big trouble maker at school, but gets away with it because he is on the football team....but he is trouble, another Perrilloux
Re: Darrington Sentimore Got word today on the DS situation. Chavis and Haley were asked to look over the info we have on DS to make sure we are making the right decision on offering him or not. They confirmed that an offer is not warranted yet based on his grades, work ethic concerns, and already having Davenport and Downs committed but thought a visit couldn't hurt. We asked him to take an official last week and he said he would think about it. It appears that DS now claiming it was an official offer (he assumed the same earlier this year as well) and reporting to Bama papers that he was offered but he is not taking anymore visits. I think he is making the right choice by not taking a LSU visit because I don't think it would have done much for him in terms of getting an offer and I wish him luck at Bama.
