I just can't get over how we went cold on him so long. If they offer hopefully that wont bother him.

I'm with Issy, I don't think Downs will convert to center, he has too much talent at DT. I also don't agree that Hicks is a non-factor. I understand we probably brought him in to add more immediate help at DT than a high school recruit, but there is still a redshirt option and even an injury redshirt as our DT's are quite familiar with. I also think Hicks is more versatile than most DL's and that adds to his value. If the class of DT's turns out to be thin 3 or 4 years from now we can always do the same thing and grab another JC d-lineman.

Is he too much of a risk with is grades and attitude. Not to say he is a bad kid, but from what I have heard about his attitude on the field, it wasnt great. Especially if he takes plays off.

Sentimore has a lot of potential. With some big names falling out, Id like to see him end up a Tiger and stay instate.

Despite the rumors, DS still does not have an offer from LSU as of now.

However, the general feeling continues to be if we want him he is going to be a Tiger.

I don't know what to think about LSU & Sentimore. I watched him play in the high school championship game & he looked very good to me.. Most all of these kids know that if you want to play on Sundays you can't take plays off in college. I just can't bear him going to Alabama & being all conference. I hate Alabama/Sabin. With the right coaching I think he can be very good... If he ever qualifies.. guess its a moot point if he can't get the grades up..

    Re: Darrington Sentimore

If and when Sentimore is offered it has to be assumed that the staff doesn't feel good about Montgomery. Supposedly he had a great trip to Michigan and said the same things he said about LSU. This kid is hard to get a handle on so maybe that may force the staffs hand to make sure they get one or the other. Personally I would rather Montgomery or use that schollie on another position of need. We are set at DT and Mont would be a DE.

I think we are done with Sentimore and I think it has all to do with his character.

Let's get Logan on board if Montgomery doesn't commit on the weekend of the 23rd.

Agreed. Don't compromise a class full of character with a bad apple.

I wish him the best of luck. I hope he has a good career. Just not when he's playing against LSU.
