Re: Darrington Sentimore Yea, I was wondering if that was just a typing mistake on bhelm's part... We didn't slow play Sentimore just because we thought we could get him at any time. We slowed played him because 1 - his grades are poor, 2 - the coaches aren't sold on his ability at DE, and 3 - there are better prospects on the board. We can't take every good prospect in Louisiana. We have to take the most talented players (that fit our needs) that we can get.
Re: Darrington Sentimore I understand why we slow played him but it still burns my azz the gumps steal a life long purple and gold bleeding Tiger who is obviously VERY talented. Sentimore should be a take regardless of his ability at DE. Davenport looks like he could go to O-line anyway and Sentimore is that good. I thought McFarland, Davenport and Sentimore would all be takes no matter what. Miles slow played Sentimore a little too much. Miles hasnt made many recruiting mistakes but IMHO he did here.
Re: Darrington Sentimore My sentence came off all weird but I attempted to say he has and still is all LSU. I do not believe the are slow playing him because from the updates I read he knew what was expected of him from the start. Miles was honest but he at times Sentimore felt that other schools were offering him so why couldn't LSU. We have very limited space left and there are a lot of questions, that is why. This will not be the last we hear of Sentimore and could receive an offer down the road.
Re: Darrington Sentimore Can't blame him.....he's being very smart in securing his future on and off the field and being able to get an education for free helping his family out.Everyone including him knows that if LSU has a spot and offers him down the line which there is alot of time(only Oct.) left he will make the switch probably.
Re: Darrington Sentimore Miles' offering methods has made him one of the best recruiters in the country. Sentimore's decision was disappointing, but I trust Miles' judgment on these matters.
