Several LSU players stood out in the CWS, including Jared Mitchell and Chad Jones, but I thought DJ had an outstanding series and really could have been MVP, too. He impressed me with his discipline at the plate, timely hitting, and his excellence in the field. He looks to be the most complete player from LSU going into the MLB, IMHO. I do think JM was deserving of MVP, and is a great prospect, but DJ was just as valuable in the CWS. Geaux Tigers!! Another NC, baby!!!
I have a feeling DJ is going to add 20-30lb and end up moving to 3rd or 1st and developing some pretty good power to go along with his already good average and plate discipline.
